Here we go for the last days...
Dolphin Watching w/ Picos de Aventura
Azores is famous as such a great place to do dolphin and whale watching ! Several companies can bring you offshore to take a chance of seeing these quite rare (in France and Germany at least) animals. We chose "Picos de Aventura", based in Ponta Delgada. Different kinds of services are available. We took the dolphin and whale watching tour which lasts half a day and costs about 50 euros per person.

If we couldn't see any whale, we for sure saw lot of wild dolphins, from different species.

Ilhéu de Vila Franca
We enjoyed the wonderful weather of the same day afternoon to reach by boat the Islet of Vila Franca, a pure Azorean jewel.
Several companies (as Picos de Aventura) offer to bring you there, generally as a full-day-package with the dolphin watching. I advise you to go there on your own by using the small boat (pictures bellow) which costs less than 5 euros per person go and back (way cheaper than passing by a tour agency). To find this boat you need to go to the marina of Vila Franca do Campo :

Welcome to paradise.

Caldeira Velha
EN5-2A, Ribeira Grande, Portugal

Caldeira Velha (meaning "old boilder") is a place which will make you feel in a tropical jungle, the vegetation there is quite amazing. Among hundreds of tree ferns, you'll find hot water pools (watch out : volcano bellow !). If some of these pools are boiling, some of them are only waiting for you to chill in...

Plantação de Ananases Augusto Arruda
Rua Dr. Augusto Arruda 9500-454 – Fajã de Baixo, Ponta Delgada

It's such an original visit for me : my first time in an ananas plantation !

There you can see the different stages of an ananas growth.

And, sure, at the end of your visit, you need to try out their ananas juice, a delight !

The ficus macrophylla of Jardim Antonio Borges (Ponta Delgada)
R. de São Joaquim 22, Ponta Delgada

This is originally an Australian kind of tree which was brought in Azores and could grow thanks to a suitable Azorean climate.
