This cosy, kinda weird-looking bar was one of our favorite places to chill around a tasty glass of red wine under its distinctive subdued cabbage lamps. If like us you're a smoker, you should know that you can enjoy your cigarette inside the bar, which is a real advantage when it rains or in winter. Another point is that some of the tables offer you a nice street view through the large windows.

It's also a very nice bar in the same neighborhood as Majong, the famous Bairro Alto. Less "intimate", according to me this is more for "big" groups of friends. Despite it is quite extensive and with lots of tables, as it's cheap and frequented by plenty of habitual locals the place can be fast full. Bonus : instead of the usual peanuts you get popcorn !

We first ate in this really sympathic bar and our diner was simply delicious (Thai food...) ! Then we stayed longer (super long in fact) and enjoyed Bkk nightlife with cigarettes, alcohol, a Khaosan Road tattoo artist with Charles Manson face on his left arm, his crazy sister, an imposing South-Korean and live blues bands. What a moment ! I can't stress enough how great this bar was and how much you should go there !

This was our Goodbye SEA Bar, we spent there the last night of our 3 months trip. We couldn't leave Bangkok without having cocktails on one of the famous rooftops of the Thai capital. If I was at first afraid of a very snob mood and expensive drinks, once arrived at the 49th floor I was surprised by how everyone was chilling in such uncomplicated atmosphere. Moreover as it was the happy hour we only paid 4$ per cocktail served with peanuts !

Located in Friedrichshain - the place if you wanna go out in a bar - SWG is a chill and cosy bar with all you need : cheap beers, good music, you can dance in the late night and even play to super nitendo.

SK is a quite famous bar, one of the main reason is that it's a ruin bar or ruin pub (romkocsma), very typical places in East Europe and particularly in Hungary. Yu definitly can't go to Budapest without having some beers, shots of Unicum or Palinka in Szimpla or one of the others ruin bars. The decoration is incredibly crazy. If your lucky you'll enjoy this amazing atmosphere sitting in the old customized car which stands in the back outdoor terrace. They'll maybe come at your table to propose you a carrot to eat...

When we went through the left-wing-arty-student-district of San Lorenzo searching for a place to have our diner, we randomly crossed this very cool bar and came back to it after our delicious pizza. It has a big outdoor terrace nicely decorated where people can eat burgers and pizza, while you enjoy a great coktail (or wine if you prefer). The best place is on a comfy sofa kinda directly at the street.

Here is a chill bar we've found in the midst of Södermalm. We drank few beers there, ecaping for a moment the cold of the street. What's special in this bar is that you can buy its furnitures, the tables, chairs, glasses, paintings, everything is for sale.
