Now U Take A Gap Year

Welcome on my travel blog, Now U Take a Gap Year. 

I'm Mallaury, a French student who once has decided to take a gap year. It was in September 2015, after I graduated a bachelor degree in law, I left France and became volunteer in a Portuguese hostel in Lisbon. There I met Tobias, who was one of my coworkers, and quickly my boyfriend. We moved first together, and then we started to work in a Lisbon call center. At the same time, we were of course enjoying the sun, the beach, and this city, as the longest holidays of our lives. 

In April 2016, with the money we earned, we booked a one way flight to Bangkok. Before heading to South East Asia, we stopped by Toulouse (France), my home town, then Meersburg (Germany), Tobias's one. 

We spent 3 amazing months travelling through Northern Thailand, Cambodia and Laos. 

That's the reason why I started this blog, my gap year between Portugal and Asia. I wanted to have a special place where to put my pictures, to note down the adventures we were leaving. This site was a good way that our families and friends could follow us regularly, but also for ourselves to remember perfectly. 

In September 2016, Tobias and me settled together in Strasbourg for studying. The gap year was done, and so was the blog. 

 

Except that such a spirit - the gap year one - does not end as long as you nourish it. And we will.
