First time in Germany

My very first time in Germany comes. Tobias and me arrive at his Home, at the wonderful Lake of Constance.

The first day, I see Germany as I imagined it : cold and grey (not like on the pic above). Thankfully, the welcome there is way warmer than the weather.

My first surprise is to discover a huge breakfast on the table prepared by Tobias' Mom. My second surprise while my German week is : the food is almost as good as the Beer (except Petra's food, which is way better than the beer).

I advise you to try the amazing Apfelstrudel (ok it's Austrian, not German, but still). I eat my first Apfelstrudel in the restaurant La Vita, in Uberlingen at the Lake promenade. I wanted to try it since the movie Inglorious Bastards, don't you ?

After an fat but excellent Apfelstrudel with its vanilla ice and cream, go take a walk in the Stadtgarten (botanical garden) in Uberlingen. From the top you have a great view over this cute town and the Lake.

Another place I like a lot is the Biergarten Hafenhalle, not in Uberlingen but in the beautiful (and bigger) town of Konztanz. There you can eat typical south German food (schnitzel, half chicken with its french fries, bretzel...) and drink the Bavarian beer Augustiner.

If like us, you have the opportunity to enjoy the Lake and the incredible landscape around from a boat, don't hesitate ! You can anyway take a ferry.

I wrote this post kind of in a hurry, time was missing before Asia. But being my second home now, there will probably be more about Bodensee.
