The second border crossing by land of my life is quiet similar with the first.
A tuk tuk comes to pick us up at the hotel nd brings us to a meeting point where we have to wait. After a while, the minivan arrives and we leave.
As usual the road seems to be a roller coaster. When we are finally away from Siem Reap the landscape begins to change. Instead of the dry fields helplessly waiting for the rain, appear huge green plantations, floated rice fields, dark green mountains and soon the Mekong.
The border in itself is very small. We stop in a wooden structure and begin to worry as the situation remembers us the scam between Thailand and Cambodia.
It costs 35$ for the visa, 2$ for the Cambodian stamp, 2$ for the Laotian one and some more money for the pictures. Tobias and me have also to pay 25$ each of overstay in Cambodia.
With us, some people try to obtain information. The first question is obviously "Why the fuck are we in a hut and not in an official office ?"
As we expected, the guy from the agency gets angry, aggressive and threats us to leave us at the border.
But with Tobias we have a second problem. As we thought the visa would cost us 30$, we don't have enough money to pay and cross the border. There's no ATM around. Thankfully a Canadian girl lends us 30$.

After this mess we change vehicle, and drive to the boat pier.

As there's no ATM on the island neither, we have to find one before taking the boat. All the travelers from our minivan work together to search. Unfortunately, the two ATM we find are broken and all the bank offices are closed.
We take the boat without any kip or even dollar.

The view is at least crazy and remembers me why I so wanted to visit Asia. We go around some small islands and finally step on ours, Don Det.
