Unlike the previous one about feelings, the purpose of this post is to make a global summary of our concrete experience. It's a last writing about the three countries which welcomed us from May to August.

Part 3. Thailand (Bangkok - Chiang Mai)
It's more difficult to write about Thailand, than I did for Cambodia or Laos. We stayed there less, first. And, also, after being for nine weeks in Cambodia and Laos, it's hard to feel something... deeper.
But still, Thailand was really special.
Thailand was the first country of our Trip. This Trip we've awaited so much while we were in Lisbon. This Trip we worked for. OUR Trip. After 8 months in Portugal, one week in France and another in Germany, one ride from Bodensee (Lake of Constance) to Cologne, and twelve hours in a plane, we stepped in Bangkok.
Bangkok is another world. A planet that you can not imagine before you actually went on. I deeply believe that this city is completely different than everything on Earth. Bangkok has its own art, no other city can compete with, it's basically called... the Mess.
I remember the incredible heat of May, this special smell everywhere in the streets, the wind on your face once on the Chao Phraya, the endless line to exit the skytrain, our favorite cybercafes, and the smile of people.
I also remember when we came back in Thailand from Laos, heading to Chiang Mai from Huay Xai. How much were we happy this day to be back ? We found back Seven Eleven, the politeness of Thais and discover another vibrant place.
... And us saying goodbye, on the top of a giant building in the midst of Bangkok, before taking our early plane and leave.
